Gruesome Dinner began in the early mid-1990's as a spur of the moment cute Halloween dinner for the kids. It was always held on October 30.  It started with only the Palagruto family. In 2002 several other family members were added into the mix. 

In its infancy, Gruesome Dinner consisted of only funny food, but through the years it has blossomed into an evening of unique activities, games, music and creative culinary delights. 

The theme changes every year and for years, guests never knew what the theme is until they arrived . Recently that changed because a few people like to dress for the theme. 

The core guests are the same every year but with an extra person or two, when there is room, and depending on the theme. Gruesome Dinner is by invitation only. It is a great honor to be one of the few lucky people invited to one of our  extravaganzas..
